Organizing fabric!

Learned this trick from my daughter.  Organizing your fabric by placing on comic book card stock.  Will make it so much easier to see what fabrics I have!

Books and Blocks Bee Too

I joined a block bee that my daughter, Tracey, is leading.  This is the first block for February. This is for Kelleigh.  I still have to buy a pen to sign in the white area before mailing.  Had fun making this.

Sewing Update

So not only am I new to sewing, I am new to this blog thing...so I have not added pictures for a while.  So I am adding some now.

This first is my first mini quilt top.
The second is my second mini quilt top.
The third is a snow man blanket that I made.
The last is a Heather Bailey bag that I made.

Snowman Quilt Top

I finished the top for my Snowman Quilt today.  Still need to complete it, but I am loving it already!

Got the upper portion of the quilt top finished today for my Snowman Quilt.  Hope to add the bottom portion by next weekend.

Blanket for Chloe

My friend Priscilla's daughter Chloe, just updated her room to a Zebra theme with Grey and Purple accents so I made this for her for Christmas to add to her new room.  I couldn't wait to give it to her, so I gave it to her already! 

Signed up for my first quilt-along....nervous and excited at the same time.  Will post pics as I can, but I may a little slower at it at first, but I am determined to finish it!!!

What I've been doing.

Tracey and I sewed 12 hours Friday. It was awesome.  We worked on a quilt top we are making as a gift. I started cutting out for some mug rugs I want to make.  I will have some pictures to post after the Holiday's, so please come back and check in!

Slow but sure!

I am trying to do some sewing every weekend.  I did make a blanket for a friends daughter for christmas but can't post yet because they have a link to this!!  I made a name tag for the Quilt Guild meeting.

I have 3 quilt tops that I want to make over the next few weekends as well as a couple pillow cases I need to make.

Attended my first Quilt Guild meeting today.  The ladies had some awesome quilts to share.  I received some fabric and some patterns.  Looking forward to November's meeting.

Sewing Summit 2011

I went to the Sewing Summit in Salt Lake City this past weekend. It was great for me since I am new at sewing.  I learned some new things!  The classes were awesome.  Can't wait for next year!
