First block for Oh My Stars Quilt Along

Snowman Quilt Top

I finished the top for my Snowman Quilt today.  Still need to complete it, but I am loving it already!

Got the upper portion of the quilt top finished today for my Snowman Quilt.  Hope to add the bottom portion by next weekend.

Blanket for Chloe

My friend Priscilla's daughter Chloe, just updated her room to a Zebra theme with Grey and Purple accents so I made this for her for Christmas to add to her new room.  I couldn't wait to give it to her, so I gave it to her already! 

Signed up for my first quilt-along....nervous and excited at the same time.  Will post pics as I can, but I may a little slower at it at first, but I am determined to finish it!!!

What I've been doing.

Tracey and I sewed 12 hours Friday. It was awesome.  We worked on a quilt top we are making as a gift. I started cutting out for some mug rugs I want to make.  I will have some pictures to post after the Holiday's, so please come back and check in!

Slow but sure!

I am trying to do some sewing every weekend.  I did make a blanket for a friends daughter for christmas but can't post yet because they have a link to this!!  I made a name tag for the Quilt Guild meeting.

I have 3 quilt tops that I want to make over the next few weekends as well as a couple pillow cases I need to make.

Attended my first Quilt Guild meeting today.  The ladies had some awesome quilts to share.  I received some fabric and some patterns.  Looking forward to November's meeting.

Sewing Summit 2011

I went to the Sewing Summit in Salt Lake City this past weekend. It was great for me since I am new at sewing.  I learned some new things!  The classes were awesome.  Can't wait for next year!

Sewing Projects

I have been going to Texas and having sewing weekends with my daughter.  Going to post some of my creations!

My first official project on my own!

I bought new bedding and could not find a picture I wanted to be by my bed...so I bought material and made this.  Not really a true sewing project, but I did cut the fabric!

As I begin....

I hated sewing when in Junior High, but my daughter has talked me into trying again!  I made a few things with her help over Easter weekend.  I now have all my sewing things set up at home. Will be going down two weekends in July for her to help me make a couple of bags, so I have her with me for guidance.  May try a few things between now and then...so stay tuned!
